Pimp my MTB again
I think it will be easier to suggest prylar if I give a few more details. The components are all Shimano XT so the gears and brakes are just fine. The fork is Rock Shox Recon SL which is probably good enough. The wheels are Fulcrum Red Metal 5 and those I am happy with. Everything else is the cheapest parts from FSA.
I specialize in marathon but do a bit of XC and I am pretty happy with its grusväg speed. My only complaint is that I can never get the XT triple gears adjusted well enough to use the gears I want. This is why a double vevparti instead of a triple could be an option.
My biggest complaint is the stability. Instead of adjusting my way to a good ride, I have been trying to learn how to make the bike behave well in the corners. It feels like my position is all wrong (too upright, not enough racing). My height/size puts me between two sizes so I have the larger one because this was supposed to be best for marathon. But it would be better to have the front end lower. So what I need is to start experimenting with bars, steering and settings. This is a jungle and I have no clue where to start.
Is that more clear?

Thanks for the tips! I pulled out my old 14kg Trek from storage to compare the settings there with my current MTB. And they were completely different. If anything, my new bike needs a shorter styrstam to shift my whole weight closer to the front. I will experiment a bit and get back to you.
And I can see that switching from triple to double is no easy task either. Plus, I would probably end up changing the shifter since I know I will forget, switch wrong and drop the chain. =)

Okay, I will take your word that it is easy to make these changes. I will wait a little bit with ordering anything because it seems like all the supplies are just starting with their 2010 stuff now and it takes a bit to get the stuff here. I have until April afterall.
I will test a bit with the position/steering this week. I should be able to attach the MTB to my trainer and try without having to expose it to any vägsalt and crap.
