In honour of inlägg nr 100 and P3 Guldgalan, it was time to continue my tour of Belgian beers. Tonight's choice was a Leffe. Nja, this was a bit too much 'godis' taste for me. Maybe I should try another one just to be sure I get a complete understanding of the taste.

It's been awhile since I have had the time to enjoy a nice beer but with a julfest coming tomorrow, it is best to remind my liver what it is supposed to do. =)

Today's featured beer is called Chimay, one of those Trappist dark ales of the 9% type. I have to admit that those monks have done a fine job with this one. It as quite a fantastic flavour with very little bitterness, sort of like a julöl but better. I think I will be taking this part of the tour again...

If I am going to write about cyclocross, I can hardly ignore a very important part of this sport. Well, an important part if you are belgian and are watching.

Of course I mean beer! Tonight I have decided to start my tour of belgian beers with a Duvel which is a fine choice. Despite the 8.5%, the taste is smooth and nice. Certainly nothing like those beers from here with swedish flags and things which are just normal pilsner with extra alcohol.

But rather than turning into that TV4 wine guy or the ladies I saw at 09.30 this morning with their glasses of wine, I will end this and let you try the beer for yourself.
